Vernon Philander took 6 for 21 as South Africa managed to bundle out Australia for just 119 who needed 611 runs to level the series in Johannesburg.
In the process, Philander reached to 200 Test wickets as Morkel finished with 3 in the game taking his Test wickets tally to 306 Test wickets.
A century from SouthAfrica skipper Faf Du Plessis (120) helped the Proteas finish at 344. South Africa thus, pushed Australia's second innings total with over 600 to win which seemed increasingly difficult in just two days.
As it turned out South Africa won the match by 492 runs an completed a series victory with a 3-1 scoreline.
Cricket fraternity hailed an impressive South African series win and the competitive cricket that was played in the process.
