Watch: David Warner gets abused by a South African fan

Warner was on his way back to the dressing room as things got ugly.

Controversy has taken a hold on the Test series between Australia and South Africa and it seems to get worse only.

David Warner, the vice-captain of Australian team, has got a series to remember; not yet with the bat though. After an ugly brawl with Proteas wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock, Warner is again in the news for a similar reason. However, this time he was on the receiving end.

The southpaw batsman was sledged by a spectator on his way back to the pavilion on Day 2 at Cape Town, after being clean bowled by Kagiso Rabada.

Warner was walking back to the Australian dressing room when a middle-aged man fired abuses while clapping sarcastically at the batsman. There was a fence between the two but the Australian team's head of security, Frank Dimasi, raced down from the players' viewing area as the 31-year-old cricketer turned around to respond.

The opener had got off to a good start in the third Test, scoring a quick 14-ball 30 before getting undone by Rabada.

Warner is just one more demerit point away from getting one-Test suspension.

The Australian cricket team has lodged an official complaint and Aussie coach Darren Lehmann labeled the behavior "disgraceful" by spectators.
