Former Indian skipper –Sourav Ganguly has lauded World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni, saying it is very hard to get past the keeper. He is also impressed with Dhoni’s Centurion show with the bat.

Dhoni has silenced his critics once again when the Ranchi-born wicket-keeper batsman scored a 28-ball 52 in the second T20 International against South Africa which left everyone in awe of him.

Even at 36, Dhoni has the ability to steer a match away from any precarious situation not only with his stunning batting skills, but also his game-changing maneuvers from behind the stumps.

Dhoni's contribution to the Indian cricket team is not just with the bat and the gloves, but also with the precious advice he keeps giving to bowlers from behind the wicket.

Meanwhile, Dhoni is continuous to add the milestone to his already illustrious cap, as he reached the milestone number of 400 dismissals in the One Day cricket during the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa.

However, Ganguly also doubted Dhoni’s ability in the T20 cricket but his Centurion show with the bat forced the Bengal Tiger to change his perception of the Jharkhand man.

Speaking on the sidelines of a walkathon, organized by All India Ophthalmology Conference at Coimbatore, Ganguly told PTI, “Dhoni is very good in one-day matches and in T-20. It is very hard to get past MS. You got to respect the contributions made by him and others too will get an opportunity to shine.”

Ganguly also hopes that India will bounce back in the series decider of the T20 International on Saturday (24 February) in Cape Town and will clinch the series as well.
