After a disappointing Asia Cup outing, Sri Lanka will look to return on winning ways when they take on number one ranked ODI side England in the first ODI in Dambulla. Sri Lanka has been poor in ODIs for the last two years and they have had more captains than the number of victories.

Dinesh Chandimal will lead this depleted Sri Lankan side as Angelo Mathews was sacked from ODI captaincy. Spinners Akila Dananjaya and Lakshan Sandakan will be key players for Sri Lanka on these spin-friendly tracks. On the other hand, England who haven't lost any bilateral ODI series since March 2017, will look to stretch their winning streak and have a good chance to prepare themselves against spin.
