Quinton de Kock and bowlers guided South Africa to a 113 runs win over Sri Lanka in the second ODI at SuperSport Park in Centurion. With this win, South Africa went 2-0 up in the series with three ODIs to be played. Earlier on a good batting after being asked to bat first, South Africa openers Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks gave a 91 runs quick start and set the platform for a big score. Quinton de Kock smashed everyone all over the park and before getting out off Thisara Perera bowling he scored 94 runs off just 70 balls. Captain Faf du Plessis also brought up his fifty and at 220/4 in 36 overs South Africa was set for a big score but Thisara Perera dismissed Faf du Plessis and triggered the collapse and Africa lost their last 5 wickets for just 31 runs and bowled out for 251 runs in the 46th over.

In the chase of 251 runs, Sri Lanka started off poorly and lost both the openers Dickwell and Avishka Fernando inside six overs. Kusal Perera also struggled and perished for 8 runs and the visitors reduced to 52/3. Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis were rebuilding the innings and had added 40 runs for the fourth wicket before Anrich Nortje's direct throw sent Kusal Mendis back to the pavilion and after his dismissal, Sri Lanka didn't recover and kept losing wickets and bowled out for just 138 runs. Quinton de Kock was named Man of the Match.
