Jalaj Saxena replaces injured Jayant Yadav in Quadrangular tournament for India ‘B’

Off-spinner Jayant Yadav has been ruled out of the Quadrangular tournament featuring India A, India B, South Africa A and Australia A.

Jayant, who played just one game for the India B side, has suffered a side strain and will be replaced by Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Jalaj Saxena in the squad.

"Jayant Yadav has been ruled out of the ongoing Quadrangular A Series. The all-rounder is suffering from a right side strain injury and will be undergoing rehab at NCA, Bengaluru," a BCCI press release, issued on Saturday (August 25), stated.

"Jayant Yadav was part of the India B squad in the Quadrangular series. The Senior Selection Committee has named Jalaj Saxena as replacement for Yadav in the India B squad," the media release further added.

India B are currently leading the points table, having secured two wins from as many games. While India A occupy the second spot, Australia A and South A are the third and bottom placed teams on the table.
