Pakistan Cricket Team skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, has claimed that Yasir Shah’s lethal spell in the second Test against New Zealand was one of the best spells he has seen in his Test career till now after hosts leveled the three-match Test series by winning the second Test in Dubai by an innings and 16 runs here.

In Dubai, the Men in Green came up with their best all-around display to colossally outclass the Black Caps in the virtual series decider and emerged as better side and Captain Sarfraz didn’t forget to credit his batsmen for their brilliant efforts with the bat for the victory on Tuesday (November 27).

Yasir –the wily leg-spinner, was at his best in the second Test, ended with an astounding haul of 14 for 184 in Dubai, equaled Anil Kumble’s record of picking up 10 wickets in a single day of a Test and even went very close to long-standing record in Test cricket – world’s fastest bowler ever to the 200-wicket milestone with 195 scalps to his name at the moment.

Sarfraz told reporters in the post-match presentation on Tuesday, “It was a great comeback from the boys. You need to credit the batsmen – Haris Sohail, Azhar Ali and Babar Azam, who set us the platform. The wicket has changed a lot in Dubai and it was important to score big. Yasir Shah's spell was one of the best I have ever seen in my years of Test career.”

He signed off by saying, “The discussion in Abu Dhabi after the match was that we would leave everything then and there. The credit must go to Yasir and Hasan Ali after the batsmen kept batting positively. In our four Test matches here, one bowler has performed in each match.”

Noteworthy, the third and final Test will be played from December 3 in Abu Dhabi followed by three One Day Internationals and three T20Is against the Black Caps.
