Pakistan was under a lot of pressure after failing to make it to the final of Asia Cup 2018. They were also crushed by India in two face-offs during the six-nation tournament.
Apart from a convincing victory against Afghanistan, they couldn't play as per the expectations and reputation, considering the tournament was played in UAE, their second home.
The men in green received a lot of criticism, but they have left media and critics tight-lipped after a brilliant performance against Australia.
They outplayed Australia in the Test and T20 series. While Aussies showed some fight in the first Test and lost the series by 1-0, in T20I, they were whitewashed by the hosts. Pakistan beat Australia by 33 runs in the third and final T20I to complete the 3-0 series win.
Shoaib Malik, the Pakistan cricketer who was part of the victory, took Twitter to answer those who pointed finger at Pakistan cricket.
Media/people: questioning the team’s leadership, selection, combination, rotation policy, fitness etc etc

I’m very proud of the whole team, every single member#PakvsAus #PakistanZindabad ????????
In the 3rd T20I, Batting first, Pakistan scored 150/5 in their 20 overs while Australia could only manage 117 all out in reply. Babar Azam struck a 50 and Mohammad Hafeez gave an all-around performance.
