Immensely skillful Mohammad Abbas is extremely delighted and pleased to have earned to Man of the Series award for his outstanding performance in Pakistan's 1-0 victory over Australia in the 2-match tussle that concluded on Day 4 of the Second Test at Abu Dhabi on Friday, October 19.

Abbas, who followed his brilliance in Dubai with excellence at Abu Dhabi, picked up 5/33 and 5/62 to help Pakistan register a highly dominating win by a massive margin of 373 runs, where the game didn't even go into the fifth day. Abbas also recorded only the 15th 10 wicket-haul by a Pakistan bowler.

This win becomes Pakistan's biggest ever in terms of runs in the history of the game, the earlier best being the 356-run thumping of the same opponent in 2014.

Having clinched 17 wickets in the series, Abbas, deservingly, got awarded Man of the Series and quite heartwarmingly said, "It's a day of great delight for me. It's my daughter's birthday tomorrow, will dedicate this to her."

Specifically, on his performance and how incredible it is for a fast bowler to pick 10 wickets in unresponsive conditions of UAE, Abbas added, "Whatever the pitch, my job is to bowl to my strengths. I've been man of the series back-to-back. Wanted to replicate my performances from England. Bowled to my strengths, to the opposition's weakness. Hit my areas. Didn't get out of my circle."

He expressed, "Thing of great pride for me. Wanted to do this in England too, but couldn't do so. I'm doing my thing, if Pakistan needs me in limited-overs, I'm there," and signed off.
