Usman Khawaja, Tim Paine, Travis Head, and Nathan Lyon helped Australia to secure a hard-fought draw against Pakistan in the first Test match in Dubai.

On the final day of the Test Australia resumed batting on 136/3 and both Usman Khawaja and Travis Head played out the morning session without any harm but in the second session Travis Head and Marnus Labuschange got out and put Australia in trouble.

Then captain Tim Paine arrived and supported Usman Khawaja and both continued to thwart the Pakistani bowlers. But in the final hour, Yasir Shah dismissed Usman Khawaja and took 3 wickets in the space of 14 balls and Pakistan needed just 2 wickets in more than 12 overs to win the game but captain Tim Paine was rock solid at one end and with the help of Nathan Lyon they played out the remaining 12 overs and managed to pull off a dramatic draw.
