After a disappointing Asia Cup performance Pakistan will look to return on winning ways when they take on Australia in the first Test match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Pakistan's unbeaten Test series record in UAE came to an end last year when they lost 2 Tests series to Sri Lanka and will now be eager to start a new streak.

For Pakistan, Yasir Shah will be the key who is going to play his first game this year. On the other hand, Australia will play their first Test after the controversial series against South Africa earlier this year in March and they should be motivated after a decent performance in the warm-up game against Pakistan A and will also look to improve their recent Test record in Asia. Aaron Finch, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschange will make their Test debut for Australia.
