PAK v AUS 2018: Australia to field three debutants in the first Test against Pakistan

Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the first Test between Pakistan and Australia from October 7.

Labuschagne will join Finch and Head in receiving Baggy Greens on Sunday morning in Dubai

Australia is all set to hand maiden Test cap to three batsmen in the opening Test against Pakistan, captain Tim Paine confirmed it on Saturday.

As per a report in cricket.com.au, Marnus Labuschagne will join Aaron Finch and Travis Head in receiving Baggy Greens on Sunday morning in Dubai. Matthew Renshaw, 22, is the major omission from the playing XI.

As far as the bowling attack is concerned – Peter Siddle will partner Mitchell Starc as a second seam-bowler while Nathan Lyon and Jon Holland will the role of spinners. Mitchell Marsh, who will act as Tim Paine’s deputy during the two-match Test series, is the only all-rounder in the playing XI.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the first Test between Pakistan and Australia from October 7, while the second Test will be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi from October 16.

Australia XI for the first Test against Pakistan:

Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Mitch Marsh, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Tim Paine (c), Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon, Jon Holland.
