What more can you expect in the series after a brilliant finish to Friday’s match? Bangladesh win a thriller by beating the hosts by 2 wickets in the so called virtual semi-final. Now, the series is on the edge with India set to take Bangladesh in the mega finale on Sunday. India have won 3 consecutive games so far and are in state of winning the final too. They are in a good form and a win from here can keep them on cloud nine after a shocking loss in the opener against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh have shown their class in this series especially in chasing decent targets. They stun Lankans twice while chasing and are through to the finals now, where the Men in Blue are waiting for their challenge.

Best economical pick – Washington Sundar has shown nerves of steel in the limited opportunities he has got in Indian colors. The off-spinning all-rounder has mostly been entrusted to bowl during the field restrictions and he hasn’t disappointed one bit. He is currently the highest wicket-taker in the series with seven wickets at a masterful economy of 5.87.

Top captains & vice captains –There were questions raised on his batting after several flops but the stand-in captain shut everyone with his stupendous knock in their previous game against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma has to fire in the finals as well as Bangladesh are in a form of their life. They are capable of chasing a big total, if batting second. Bangladesh batting hero Mahmudullah Riyad slammed an unbeaten 43 to lead his team to a thrilling two-wicket win in a virtual semi-final against hosts Sri Lanka. After Bangladesh top order was sent back to pavilion Mahmudullah played a brisk inning of 43 off 18 to steer his team to the final. During his innings, he hit three fours and two sixes.

Smart pick – Shakib Al Hasan’s return is a big boost for Bangladesh cricket. However, still questions are popping up in the minds of many that why didn’t bowl 4 overs in the previous encounter on Friday. He was bowling well but a reason in not out yet. Hope he is fit enough and set to go in the finals.

Cautious Pick – Mohammed Siraj got a look in the match against Bangladesh at the expense of Jaydev Unadkat. He was expected to grab his opportunity with both hands. But much to his disappointment, he ended up leaking a lot of runs. He gave away as many as 50 runs in his quota of four overs.

My XI – Rohit Sharma (Captain), Mahmudullah (Vice-Captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Washington Sundar, Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar,Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur, Mushfiqur Rahim, Manish Pandey, Lokesh Rahul
