Bangladesh advanced to Nidahas Trophy 2018 final after defeating Sri Lanka in the 6th T20I of the tri-nation series by 2 wickets. Tamim Iqbal (50) and Mahmudullah (43*) helped them to chase down the target of 160 runs with a ball left.

With 12 runs required off the last over, Mahmuduallah hit a four and couple and then a huge six off his pads to seal the win. The whole team, who were biting their nails on the boundary line, ran towards the match-winner to lift him on their shoulders.

The Shakib Al Hasan led Bangladesh team celebrated the nerve-racking win with 'naagin dance' again. They have won two games in this series and both against Sri Lanka. Fans were waiting for them to celebrate it in the similar passion like Mushfiqur Rahim did in the last game.

The game saw drama in the last over when Upal Tharanga pushed one of Bangladeshi substitutes who was carrying drinks. Things got a little heated up and Shakib was seen calling back his batsmen. The match officials had to get involved and convince the Bangladeshi skipper.

After the win, he said his emotions got the better of him as there was excitement and also confusion. He added that Sri Lankans are their good friends off the pitch.

Bangladesh will meet India in the final of the tournament on March 18.
