Premier Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been recalled into the Bangladesh T20I  squad for the crucial encounter against Sri Lanka on Friday. Having lost to India on Wednesday, Bangladesh find themselves in a must-win situation against Sri Lanka in a game which will be a virtual semi-final.

Shakib had injured his left little finger during the ODI tri-series final in Mirpur on January 27 due to which he had to miss both Test and T20I series against Sri Lanka at home.

Shakib's return will definitely give huge confidence to the Bangladesh side ahead of the crucial clash. Shakib is expected to play in Bangladesh's crucial clash against Sri Lanka on March 16. Both teams have registered just one win from three games and the winner of the clash on Friday will take on India in the final.

The Nidahas Tri Series has been a closely contested one so far with quite a few close games. Sri Lanka stunned India to win the tournament opener, only to be stunned by Bangladesh in their second game when The Tigers chased down a record 215. That started Bangladesh's campaign in the series after which India won the next three games against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh rather comfortably. Various Indian players stood up when the team needed them with this young Indian outfit giving a tough fight to their opposition.

Having won three games,  India have qualified for the finals and are sitting pretty at 6 points. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh by losing two games each have managed to keep the series lively as their next encounter will eventually decide who will play India in the final on Saturday.
