Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar who was included in the Indian T20I squad for the Nidahas Tri series delivered a good performance with the ball. He picked up two wickets in the match for just 38 runs stifling the South African batsmen for runs.
It was on account of a good bowling effort by the Indian bowlers including Shankar's spell which limited Bangladesh batsmen 138 in 20 overs.
Shikhar Dhawan then led the charge with the bat for India as he scored an attacking 55. Suresh Raina (28) and Manish Pandey (27) then ensured that they take India to a comfortable victory.
Post India's win Shankar was given a one-minute match report challenge. He spoke very meticulously giving due credit to the Indian bowlers who set it up to start with for the team. He also spoke about his spell and his overall performance which he found satisfying. he finally concluded the challenge by giving a round of how professional India was throughout the chase.
Having played two matches, India have won one and lost one. Each team plays against each other twice before the top two teams play the final on the 18th.
