Nidahas Tri-series 2018: IND v BAN – India looks to get back on track against Shakib-less Bangladesh

India lost the first T20I to Sri Lanka.

Mahmudullah will have the big responsbility to counter the Indian batting lineup

India and Bangladesh will clash in the second match of the Nidahas Tri-series 2018 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on March 8th, 2018.

This will be Bangladesh’s first match in the tournament, while India lost to Sri Lanka in the first match. Shikhar Dhawan’s valiant knock of 90 was triumphed by a whirlwind innings by Kusal Perera, who took the game away from India in the first six overs itself.

Bangladesh on the other hand will be entering the tournament without their captain and their best player in Shakib Al Hasan. They will be looking at Taskin and Mustafizur to nullify the Shikhar Dhawan advantage that India has. It was seen that Dhawan loved to pull and hook the short balls and those shot went for edges. Taskin and Mustafizur will exploit that weakness that Dhawan has.

For India, a trouble is Rohit Sharma’s non-existent form. He has gone from bad to worst since his South Africa sojourn. Bangladesh have Shabbir and Mushfiqur to rely on apart from Mahmadullah.

This match will be important for both teams as India will look to get a win under their belts and Bangladesh would like to start on a winning note.
