In reply, New Zealand scored 348 runs with the help of Kane Williamson's 89 and useful knocks from de Grandhomme, Jamieson and Boult and took a good lead of 183 runs.
In the second innings also Indian batsmen struggled and were clueless against the duo of Trent Boult and Tim Southee and whole team bowled out for just 191 runs.
