New Zealand proved to be too good for the Indians in the recently concluded three-match ODI series as the former won the series as 3-0. It was a superb comeback by the Blackcaps after the whitewash in the five-match T20 series.

In the third one-dayer, after Williamson invited the Men in Blue to bat first. After yet another disappointing performance by India’s top 3, it was once again up to middle-order batsmen Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul to steady the ship.

The right-handers posted a superb century run partnership with both of them getting to their fifties. Sadly, Iyer could not make it a big one but Rahul carried on and got yet another superb hundred to his name.

While batting with Iyer when Rahul was in the twenties when James Neesham was introduced in the attack. Rahul tapped the ball to mid-on and went for a quick single with Neesham blocking his way.

After completing the run, Rahul went and had a go at the Kiwi all-rounder but as both of them were going to get into an argument, the Karnataka batsman shrugged it off and ended it with a smile.

Even Neesham tweeted out the photo of them fist-bumping and wrote, “Paper, scissors, rock?” as the caption.

Rahul and Neesham will both be representing Kings XI Punjab in the upcoming IPL with the former leading the team. Thus, the 29-year-old appreciated Rahul’s knock in a cheeky way as he wrote, “Don’t forget to save some runs for April aye @klrahul11?
