India beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in the second T20I match at Eden Park in Auckland today and took a 2-0 lead in this five-match T20I series.
Earlier on a used pitch New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first. Martin Guptill gave a good start to his team and added 48 runs with Munro in the powerplay but after his dismissal, New Zealand batsmen struggled against Mohammad Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah and couldn't score quick runs and managed only 84 runs in the last 14 overs and ended on 132/5 in 20 overs.
In reply, India also had a poor start and lost Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli cheaply off Tim Southee bowling. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer took the charge and their 86 runs partnership set the tone of the chase and KL Rahul's unbeaten 57* runs knock took India home in the 18th over.
