NZ v IND 2020: BCCI names Team India squad for the 5-match T20I series in New Zealand

India will play 5 T20Is and 3 ODI matches, along with 2 Tests on the tour.

Team India will play 5 T20Is against New Zealand | APThe Indian team will be traveling to New Zealand for a full tour since 2014-15. The tour will see India playing 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches against the Kiwis, with the tour, starting from January 24th.

The last time Indian team faced Kiwis in limited-overs series was in 2019 and the Men in Blue won the ODI series convincingly but lost the T20I series despite putting up a valiant fight. This time around the five-match T20I series will provide much-needed practice in the ICC T20 World Cup year. Regulars like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Jasprit Bumrah were named in the squad. 

The T20I squad sees Rohit Sharma returning back, while Sanju Samson has been dropped. Mohammad Shami has also been included for the important series.
