New Zealand beat India by 4 runs in the third and final T20I match at Seddon Park, Hamilton and clinched the three match T20I series by 2-1. On a batting surface India opted to bowl first but bowlers couldn't get early breakthroughs and openers Colin Munro and Tim Seifert gave a flying 80 runs start. Kuldeep Yadav broke this partnership by removing Tim Seifert but Colin Munro was rock solid at the other end and his 72 runs off 40 balls knock set the platform for a big score and eventually New Zealand ended on 212/4. In the chase India lost Shikhar Dhawan in the first over itself but Vijay Shankar, Rishabh Pant's cameo and Rohit's composed knock kept India in the game and they're 108/2 after 10 overs and needed 105 runs in the final 10 overs but in next 6 overs India lost 4 wickets for just 37 runs and in the end India needed 59 runs off 24 balls. Dinesh Karthik and Krunal Pandya's cameos took India close to win but still India fell short of the target by 4 runs.
