Captain Rohit Sharma and bowlers helped India to bounce back in the second T20I match at Eden Park, Auckland and leveled the series 1-1 with one match to go.

Earlier New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat first but this time their openers couldn't give a good start and got out cheaply and later Krunal Pandya removed Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell and reduced New Zealand to 50/4 but Colin de Grandhomme's counter-attacking innings of 50 runs off 28 balls brought back his team into the game and Ross Taylor also played 42 runs knock and New Zealand ended on 158/8 in 20 overs.

In the chase, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave a brisk start and added 79 runs for the opening wicket and Rohit got out after completing his fifty but the platform was set and later Rishabh Pant, Vijay Shankar and MS Dhoni helped to get over the line.
