Rishabh Pant was practicing an innovative shot in the nets ahead of the first T20I against New Zealand. The game will be played on Wednesday in Wellington. The other two venues for the series are Auckland and Hamilton.
The wicketkeeper-batsman was seen practicing his own version of switch hit. Pant has given switch hit of Kevin Pietersen his own touch as it can't be called completely a switch hit and neither a reverse sweep because he hardly sweeps the ball when he changes the stance.
That is one of the reasons why the official Twitter account of BCCI asked fans to name it.
"Welcome to the T20 format. What would you call this shot from @RishabPant777 ???????? #TeamIndia #NZvIND," BCCI wrote.
The 21-year-old wasn't part of the ODI side against Australia and New Zealand. However, he is still considered for the World Cup 2019 side.
