Indian team wants to get their all questions answered before the World Cup 2019 and with a handful of matches left, the management wants to try every player. They want to make sure the players in contention for the World Cup 2019 get enough number of matches.

There is a possibility that Indian opener Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan may get rest for some games in T20I series against New Zealand. India's head coach Ravi Shastri had hinted about it while talking to Star Sports after the fifth ODI against New Zealand.

“There would still be one or two places we would be looking at. In general, the team picks itself. What you want is the team not losing form with five games to go for the World Cup. You, in fact, should grab every opportunity you get and make the most of it.

"Now, Shami would need a break – he has had a long season. Shikhar [Dhawan], Rohit [Sharma] could get a break as well,” Shastri said.

India won the ODI series comfortably against Kiwis by 4-1. They will play three-match T20I series starting on February 6.
