Ahead of the fourth ODI against New Zealand, India’s stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma donned a new role as he became cameraman for Yuzvendra Chahal’s chat show.

In a video posted by the BCCI on Twitter, Chahal interviewed youngster Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed and his fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

The cricketers were interviewed after the gym session at Hamilton and the young brigade spoke about their fitness regime.

“I am undergoing very good training. I am feeling very good. I have received a warm welcome,” the 19-year-old Gill said.

Wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav said it motivates them to see senior players like Rohit and Virat work on their fitness keenly.

“Seniors in the team – Rohit bhai, Virat bhai, and others are motivating the youngsters. Seeing them workout motivates us to do well,” Kuldeep asserted.

“I don’t do extra stuff. I like to follow a good fitness regime. It has been helping me well. The program itself is good big, and I don’t do anything extra,” he added.

Left-arm pacer Khaleel also talked about the significance of fitness. He feels it's important to make gym an important part of daily life like brushing teeth.

Gill is part of India's squad for the first time and he is likely to make his debut in the fourth ODI, with regular skipper Virat Kohli resting and MS Dhoni still to recover from his sore hamstring. Since the Men in Blue have already secured an unassailable 3-0 lead in the ODI series, they might test their reserve players for the remaining fixtures. Khaleel is also expected to get a chance.
