Pakistan batter gives a befitting reply as journalist tries to troll Virat Kohli citing he performs "when there's no pressure"

Kohli finished the three-ODI series versus Sri Lanka with 283 runs to his name, including two hundreds.

Virat Kohli | BCCIVirat Kohli played a key role with the bat in India’s recent 3-0 ODI series win over Sri Lanka at home. The right-hander finished the three-match series with 283 runs to his name, including two hundreds at an incredible average of 141.50. He was deservedly awarded Player of the Series.

The highlight of Kohli’s dominance was the innings of 166 not out from 110 balls in the third and final ODI at Thiruvananthapuram. It was his 46th ton in the 50-over format and the knock also took his international hundred tally to 74.

Despite Virat’s surreal exploits, a Pakistan journalist tried to troll him saying that the veteran India batter performs "when there's no pressure."

"Virat Kohli is at his best when there's no pressure, series not on the line and conditions great for batting. There's no harm in gaining confidence and form in such matches, India need him to perform well in Test cricket with Australia coming over too tho," the journalist tweeted.

However, Pakistan batter Sohaib Maqsood shut down the journalist with a reply, "Are you sure he is only best when there is no pressure grow up yar two wrongs dont make one right."

The journalist was in no mood to stop as he further wrote: "Sohaib bhai, for a player to regain confidence nothing helps more than favourable conditions. He had a lean patch but he needed a match against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup when India were not in the tournament and then against Bangladesh when they had lost the series already."

Maqsood was also firm in his point as he stated: "When he wasnt getting runs he wasnt even getting on these roads tell me the country or pitches where he hasnt scored centuries???if they troll baber we all know how bigger player is baber ignore that."

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has jumped two places to fourth in the ICC ODI rankings for batters with a total of 750 rating points.

While Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is heading the list with 887 rating points, Kohli has second-placed Rassie van der Dussen (766) and third-placed Quinton de Kock (759) well within his sights.
