Former Pakistan cricketer Aaqib Javed made a comparison between India's elite fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan's pacer Shaheen Afridi. He said Bumrah is a very good bowler and currently ahead of Shaheen.

However, Javed praised Shaheen's ability to use the new ball and said he's better than Bumrah in this case. Speaking in an interview on Cricket Pakistan, he said, "[Jasprit] Bumrah is a really good bowler who is good at everything."

He added, "Right, now he is better than Shaheen [Afridi] in terms of death bowling. Although, with the new ball, Shaheen is ahead of him."

Javed also talked about the importance of managing workload and said Pakistan team management isn't doing justice to Shaheen. "It is injustice with Shaheen to make him play every match. Pakistan team should manage his workload carefully.

"They should not play him when the team has lost the series or adopt a proper rotation policy. Shaheen should only play those matches which are important,” he further opined.

Recently, the 48-year-old had grabbed attention for his comment on the comparison between India's captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam's batting technique. He said Babar is a better batsman in terms of technique and Kohli can learn looking at him.
