Former South African captain Graeme Smith and his partner, Romy Lanfranchi, became proud parents of a baby boy on Wednesday.

The delighted Smith took to social media and announced that the arrival of his first child with Romy, and he introduced his name of 'Biff'.

He posted pictures of himself with his newborn son on the social media, and wrote, "Incredibly proud and happy to welcome #babybiff to the world‚ mom and baby doing so well :) and dad's ecstatic‚"

The 35-year old cricketer has a four-year old daughter and a three-year old son with ex-wife Morgan Deane. And interestingly, according to the 'You magazine' Romy Lanfranchi‚ who is the 37-year old‚ had two sons with her late husband‚ Michel.

The couple said in a statement, "They were delighted about the prospect of being parents again and having a future together. Their focus is on their children and prioritising them while establishing a family together."
