The Road Safety World Series is all set to resume next month in Raipur from where they left last year due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in India.
The inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series was called off after playing four games in March last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and now the organizers decided to host the remaining matches of the competition this year in March 2021.
The tournament, featuring cricket legends likes Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Brian Lara, and Jonty Rhodes will see six teams battling out from March 5 to 21 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
The teams are India Legends, South Africa Legends, West Indies Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, England Legends, and Bangladesh Legends. Australia Legends will miss the tournament this year.
Meanwhile, India Legends will take on the Bangladesh Legends in the tournament opener of the Road Safety World Series on 5 March, while the new entrant England Legends will play Bangladesh on March 7 in their first game in the tournament in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The cricket legends will be back on the field to recreate their magic as part of the initiative to create awareness about road safety with all matches will take place in Raipur and the start time is 7:00 PM IST.
