Afridi had asked the youngster to not be abusive after Naveen's spat with AmirAfghanistan pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq has hit back at Pakistani cricketing legend Shahid Afridi after he asked the youngster to not indulge in abusive talks after his spat with Mohammad Amir in the ongoing Lanka Premier League 2020.

Afridi, captain of Galle Gladiators, was seen in an angry interaction with Naveen after the match, and advised him ‘play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk’.

Naveen, who is a part of LPL franchise Kandy Tuskers, took to Twitter and replied to Afridi’s tweet on Wednesday, “Always ready to take advice and give respect, Cricket is a gentleman’s game but if someone says you all are under our feet and will stay their then he is not only talking about me but also talking abt my ppl. #give #respect #take #respect.”

Kandy Tuskers were facing Galle Gladiators in the sixth match of the tournament on Monday when Naveen and Amir had a go at each other after Amir hit Naveen for a couple of boundaries and a six in the end stages of the innings.

After the match, Afridi was not happy when he came out for the handshakes and was seen advising the 21-year-old Naveen. However, he didn’t seem to be happy with the advice.
