Suresh Raina warns against spreading misinformation on coronavirus​​​​​​​ from any "unreliable sources"

He also suggested everyone follow the hygiene measures to fight coronavirus.

As the coronavirus spreads all over the world at unbelievably rapid rise, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has urged everyone to not spread fake information related to the contagious disease, as well as, appealed the public to follow the hygiene measures to fight the global pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused worldwide panic with the entire world is battling the deadly coronavirus with over 1,70,000 infected and over 6,500 deaths so far.

Taking to Twitter on Monday (March 16), Raina warned against spreading misinformation about the life-threatening COVID-19 and urged everyone to follow health advisories in wake of the pandemic.

Sharing a photo of himself wearing a protective mask, the veteran batsman has also stressed on the need to break the chain in order to prevent the rapid spread of the contagious coronavirus disease.

He wrote on Twitter, “It's very important that we understand the need of social isolation to break the chain, don't spread information from unreliable sources, don't ignore the health advisories & for sure follow the hygiene measures.#coronavirus”

Noteworthy, Raina, who is currently out of Indian national cricket team, will be seen in action for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2020 if the tournament takes place as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the event till April 15, 2020, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
