Bangladesh, who agreed to tour Pakistan with breaks in between, will now be leaving for Pakistan for a one-off ODI on 3rd April and the second Test of the two-Test series scheduled from 5 April to 9th April at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Nazmul Hassan urged the star batsman Mushfiqur Rahim to change his mind and join the team for Pakistan tour.

BAN v ZIM 2020: Mushfiqur Rahim reveals the reason behind his unique 'dragon' celebration after double hundred

Every contracted player should go. Family is important for everybody, but the country is more important. We’ve said we won’t force anyone. But after speaking to all, I think he should go. But I hope he (Rahim) will go (to Pakistan),” Hassan told the reporters.

The Bangladeshis missed the 32-year-old right-hand batsman as they lost the three-match T20I series 2-0 with one game being washed out. They also lost the first Test match at Rawalpindi by an innings and went 1-0 down in the series.

There have been some speculations that due to Bangladesh’s poor performance against Pakistan, Mushfiqur may reconsider his decision and might join the team for the upcoming tour.

Thus, it will be interesting to see what Mushfiqur decides and how the Bangladeshis perform in the second Test which is a part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).
