Oshane Thomas admitted to hospital after unfortunate car accident 

The 23-year-old pacer has played 20 ODIs and 10 T20Is for the West Indies.

Oshane Thomas | GettyWest Indies fast bowler Oshane Thomas was on Sunday (February 16) admitted to a nearby hospital after being involved in a tragic car accident on Highway 2000, Jamaica where his car overturned following an unfortunate collision. 

Thankfully, the 23-year-old was as per a report in The Indian Express "conscious and responsive" on the way to the hospital.

The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) expressed concerns and prayed for Thomas' timely recovery in a press release on its website, stating: "WIPA’s executive and staff would like to extend our sympathies to Oshane. We wish for him a speedy and full recovery."

Fellow Caribbean pacer Tino Best also sent his best wishes to the fast bowler. 

Thomas has turned up in 20 ODIs and 10 T20Is for the West Indies.

The lanky speedster was picked in the IPL 2020 auction in December by Rajasthan Royals for his base price of 50 lakhs.
