The second T20I of the three-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, a day after the first match was played, which was won by Pakistan by 5 wickets.
Mahmudullah won the toss and chose to bat first. Tamim Iqbal hit a 53-ball 65 with 7 fours and 1 six. Then the Tigers lost quick wickets until Afif made 21 and skipper himself contributed 12 runs, as Bangladesh crawled to 136/6 in 20 overs. Mohammad Hasnain picked 2/20, while Shaheen Afridi, Rauf, and Shadab picked one-wicket each.
Ahsan Ali fell for a duck to Shafiul Islam, but then Babar Azam (61* with 6 fours and 1 six) and Mohammed Hafeez (64* with 9 fours and 1 six) added unbeaten 131 runs for the second wicket and took the team to the win in 16.4 overs.
Pakistan now leads 2-0 in the three-match series with the final T20I to be played at the same venue on 27th January 2020.
