"Should have retired with dignity," KRK on MS Dhoni not given a BCCI central contract

Dhoni missed out on BCCI's yearly contract for October 2019 - September 2020.

MS Dhoni's omission from BCCI's list of annual contracts raised questions about his future in the team. The former captain, who retired from Test cricket in December 2014, was a regular part of the team until July 2019. He hasn't featured in any of the international matches since then.

Fans believe Dhoni will come back as he joined his state team of Jharkhand for a practice session in Ranchi on Thursday.

But actor and movie reviewer Kamaal R Khan used harsh words for Dhoni and said he has been pushed out of the team. “Today #BCCI threw out @msdhoni like many other players in the past. I strongly believed that #MSDhoni will retire with dignity and respect, unlike all other players.

"But he followed other players only “Ki Jab Tak Dhakke Markar Nahi Nikaloge, Tab Tak Nahi Nikloonga”! #VerySad!”, wrote KRK.

There are chances Dhoni can return to the team. The India head coach Ravi Shastri had recently said that he could find a place in India’s T20 World Cup squad if his IPL performance turns out to be good.

Dhoni has scored 1,617 runs at an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 126.13 in the T20I format.
