Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is in the talks for joining micro-blogging site Twitter on Wednesday. The Aussie great posted a picture with his son which was his first tweet.

Fans are excited for Ponting's tweet they are expecting him to interact with the fans soon. Not sure about the fans, but Ricky did reply to ex-New Zealand explosive batsman Brendon McCullum.

Funnily, he responded to McCullum's tweet on which he was complaining about how Ponting doesn't respond to his text messages. Brendon asked the Aussie about the time commentators are leaving for the second day of ongoing Australia vs New Zealand Test match.

"Seen as you don’t reply to my normal messages @RickyPonting, I’ll try you on here instead! What time are we @7Cricket commentators leaving for the ground today skipper? ????," wrote McCullum.

Ponting's reply came, unlike the text messages, and it was as plain as it could get. "10:30 downstairs bro ????," he wrote.
