Sourav Ganguly slams media report for misquoting him on India's T20 World Cup plans

Ganguly denies a quote which said he would talk to Virat and Shastri about the T20 World Cup.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Thursday slammed a media report which claimed that he has “some thoughts” regarding the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia and will soon be discussing them with Indian skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri.

If we are chasing very well in T20 cricket. We need to do the same when batting first. I have some thoughts which I will share with Virat, Ravi and the management. We haven’t played many T20 internationals and I am confident by the World Cup we will be absolutely ready,” Ganguly said as per a report by PTI which was posted by TOI.

The former India captain took to Twitter to clarify and wrote in his tweet, "Read this on the net .. this is not my quote today .. please clarify with me before print in the future."

Ganguly has been quite open with the media sharing his thoughts on various issues in Indian cricket, unlike previous BCCI Presidents who rarely had direct interactions with the media.
