Australia opening batsman David Warner brutalized Pakistan fast bowlers in the last Test match at Adelaide Oval. Not hundred, or two hundred, he scored a triple ton, 335*.
There were high chances of him beating Brian Lara's highest Test score 400*. But the Aussie captain Tim Paine decided to declare the innings, which was the right call.
Warner met the West Indies great Lara and clicked a picture. He shared the capture on Instagram and wrote he may break his record of 400 someday. "Great to catch up with the legend himself. Maybe one day I will get another chance to Knock 400 off. @brianlaraofficial" wrote David.
Warner's innings was played a good pace. He took just 418 balls to score 335*. In his innings, the southpaw smashed 39 boundaries and a six.
He went past the highest score of Sir Don Bradman and Mark Taylor, which is 334. However, Warner is still not the highest run-scorer for Australia in Test innings. Matthew Hayden had scored 380 against Zimbabwe in 2003.

“After passing Sir Donald Bradman I would have loved to see him race towards me. I was getting dressed to come back near the end of his innings. I was listening to commentators say whether he would have a go at Matthew Hayden’s 380, but I felt if he got to 381 he would have to have a go at my record,” said Lara, who believed Warner could have broken his record.
