Mohammad Kaif posts a cheeky comment about 16-year-old pacer Naseem Shah's age

Kaif responded to an old tweet in which Naseem was called a 17-year-old cricketer.

Pakistan newcomer Naseem Shah has created a lot of buzz with his bowling at such a young age. The teenager is just 16 years old and made his debut for Pakistan to play the first Test against Australia. But is he really 16? The question is popping up a lot lately.

Many believe Naseem isn't 16, but older than that. There is evidence that he was called a 16-year-old three year back as well. A cricket journalist from Pakistan, Saj Sadiq had tweeted about the pacer last year. In that tweet, Saj referred Naseem as a 17-year-old.

Ex-India cricket Mohammad Kaif knows there is something fishy. He reacted to the tweet with his tongue in cheek. It was obvious that the Pakistan fans would find it saucy.  "Looks a terrific prospect. But is 16 now, aging backward i think," wrote Kaif, praising the speedster but hinting at age fraud.

Meanwhile, a fan shared a screenshot of Pakistani news site The Dawn in former West Indies fast bowler Sir Andy Roberts, had talked about Naseem Shah in an interview, which was taken in October of 2016. “I must say that I very much liked a young fast bowler by the name of Naseem. He is just a 16-year-old,” the pace bowling legend had said.
