T10 League 2019: Arabians defeat Bulls by 30 runs; Qalandars beat Tuskers by 32 runs; Gladiators lost to Warriors by 10 runs

In the 19th match of T10 League 2019, Delhi Bulls faced Maratha Arabians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday (November 21).

Asked to bat first, Arabians posted a colossal 146/4 in 10 overs on the back of Chris Lynn’s whirlwind 89 off 33 deliveries including 5 fours and 9 sixes. Adam Lyth (20 off 8 balls) and Dasun Shanaka (18 not out off 6 balls) also played valuable cameos.

Amid the carnage, Ali Khan managed to return with 2 scalps by conceding 15 runs in his two overs.

In the chase, Bulls batsmen tried their best but fell 30 runs short of the target. Kusal Perera was the top-scorer with 17-ball 45* while Sherfane Rutherford made 16-ball 41.

Lasith Malinga was the star with the ball for Arabians as he gave away just 10 runs and picked up a wicket in his two overs.

Karnataka Tuskers and Qalandars locked horns with each other in the 20th match of T10 League 2019 at the same venue.

Opting to bat first, Qalandars rode on Tom Banton’s 28-ball 80 (9 fours and 6 sixes) to pile up a mammoth 130/7 in 10 overs.

Nathan Rimmington was the pick of the bowlers for Tuskers, claiming 1 for 7 in his two overs. Although Ahmed Raza (2/33) and Sandeep Lamichhane (2/30) took two wickets each, they were quite expensive in their quota of overs.

In reply, Tuskers batsmen faltered under pressure and they were eventually restricted to 98/9 in 10 overs. Ryan ten Doeschate was the top-scorer with 13-ball 25.

Sultan Ahmed (2/5) and George Garton (2/21) were the stars with the ball for Qalandars.

Deccan Gladiators and Northern Warriors took on each other in the 21st match of the competition in Abu Dhabi as well.

Electing to bat first, Warriors amassed 107/5 in 10 overs, courtesy Lendl Simmons’ 39-ball 70. Zahoor Khan (2/8) and Ben Cutting (2/9) bowled brilliantly for Gladiators.

In reply, Gladiators fell 10 runs short of the target despite captain Shane Watson’s unbeaten 35-ball 75. Apart from Watson, none of the Gladiators batsmen managed to touch the double-digit mark.

Nuwan Pradeep (1/10), Junaid Siddique (1/10) and Andre Russell (1/18) were among the wickets for Warriors.

Brief Scores:

Northern Warriors – 107/5 in 10 overs (Lendl Simmons 70; Zahoor Khan 2/8) defeated Deccan Gladiators – 97/3 in 10 overs (Shane Watson 75*; Nuwan Pradeep 1/10) by 10 runs.
