After the 16th match of T10 League 2019 got rained out, Bangla Tigers and Northern Warriors faced each other in the subsequent match of the star-studded tournament at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (November 20).

Asked to bat first, Tigers posted 102/6 in their stipulated 10 overs with handy contributions from Robbie Frylinck (36 not out off 12 balls), Andre Fletcher (22 off 15 balls) and Rilee Rossouw (21 off 15 balls).

Rayad Emrit was the pick of the bowlers for Warriors, claiming 2 for 16 in his two overs.

In reply, Warriors fell 6 runs short of the target despite Andre Russell’s blazing knock of 25-ball 41. Apart from Russell, none of Northern Warriors batsmen managed to touch the 20-run mark.

For Tigers, David Wiese was the star with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets by conceding 14 runs in his two overs. Qais Ahmad also bowled economically, taking 1 for 13 in his quota of overs.

Brief Scores:

Bangla Tigers – 102/6 in 10 overs (Robbie Frylinck 36*; Rayad Emrit 2/16) defeated 96/6 in 10 overs (Andre Russell 41; David Wiese 3/14) by 6 runs.

In the 18th game of T10 League 2019, Deccan Gladiators locked horns with Team Abu Dhabi at the same venue.

Sent into bat, Abu Dhabi piled up a mammoth 118/1 in 10 overs, courtesy Wayne Madsen’s 14-ball 29, Luke Wright’s 16-ball 23 and Lewis Gregory’s 10-ball 20*.

In the chase, Gladiators were 25/1 in 2.2 over when rain interrupted play. Although the rain stopped, the match couldn’t resume. Since the organizers couldn't provide the teams with the DLS sheets, the match had to be called off.
