Deccan Gladiators and Karnataka Tuskers faced each other in the 10th match of T10 League 2019 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday (November 18).

Sent into bat, Tuskers posted a mammoth 110/3 in their stipulated 10 overs with handy contributions from Johnson Charles (35 off 18 balls), skipper Hashim Amla (32 off 19 balls) and Evin Lewis (23 off 14 balls).

Migael Pretorius was the pick of the bowlers for Gladiators, claiming 1 for 19 in his two overs.

In reply, Gladiators lost their top four batsmen with just 37 runs on the board. Amid extreme pressure, Kieron Pollard produced a gem of a knock and forged a 68-run partnership with Bhanuka Rajapaksa (27 off 7 balls) to put the team on the cusp of victory.

After Rajapaksa’s dismissal, Pollard completed the formalities. The West Indies white-ball skipper remained unbeaten on 22-ball 45 (1 four and 4 sixes) to guide Gladiators over the line with 9 balls to spare.
