In the seventh match of the MSL 2019, Cape Town Blitz took on Durban Heat at Kingsmead, Durban. The home team won the toss and chose to field first.

Cape Town posted an impressive total of 174/6 with Asif Ali and Marques Ackerman making 43 each and Liam Livingstone making 25 runs. Andile Phehlukwayo picked 2/34 for Heat, while Maharaj, Abbott, Bopara, and Siboto picked a wicket each.

In reply, Wihan Lubbe slammed a brilliant 83 in 42 balls with 5 sixes and 6 fours, while David Miller made 23. But they got no support from another end as Dale Steyn picked 2/23 and ambidextrous spinner Gregory Mahlokwana picked 2/26, to keep Heat to just 164/7 in 20 overs. Cape Town Blitz won the match by 10 runs.

In the 8th match, Paarl Rocks took on Tshwane Spartans in Boland Park, Paarl. Rocks won the match and chose to bat first.

James Vince slammed 86* in 53 balls and Henry David made 30 runs as Rocks made 185/6 in 20 overs. Morne Morkel picked 2/24 for Spartans. In reply, Theunis de Bruyn (42) and Dean Elgar (88*) gave Spartans a perfect start to chase down such a big total.

In the end, Heinrich Klaasen made 31* in 13 balls to take the team to the victory in the last over at the loss of 2 wickets.
