While Kohli was dismissed for a duck in the Indore Test against Bangladesh, he recorded his 10th innings win in Tests as captain for India in the longest format of the game surpassing the likes of MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Sourav Ganguly.

Akhtar also named his dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar during the 1999 Kolkata Test match as his favorite one. Tendulkar was clean bowled for a first-ball duck for the only time in his illustrious career and it was at the hands of Akhtar, who had earlier removed Dravid the previous ball.
