The third match of the Mzansi Super League 2019 saw Paarl Rocks taking on Cape Town Blitz in Boland Park. The Rocks batted first after skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss.

Henry Davids (38), Faf du Plessis (38) and Dwaine Pretorius (34) were the top scorers as Rocks reached 170/9 in 20 overs. For the Blitz, Anrich Nortje (3/31) and George Linde (3/23) were the best bowlers.

In reply, the Blitz team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals with Linde making 15, skipper De Kock making 14 and Moeen Ali making 13 runs. Bjorn Fortuin and Hardus Viljoen picked two wickets each, but the pick of the bowlers was Tabraiz Shamsi with 3/16 to his name. Blitz was bowled out for 84 runs and Paarl Rocks won the match by a huge margin of 86 runs.
