AUS v PAK 2019: Australia demolishes Pakistan by 10 wickets; seals T20I series 2-0 at Perth

The first match was rained out, while Australia won the second match comfortably thanks to Steve Smith’s brilliance.

Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first on a bouncy pitch. The move paid dividends as Pakistan could only muster 106/8 in 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed top-scored with 45 in 37 balls, while Imam made 14 runs and these two were the only batsmen to go past the score of 10.

In reply, Aaron Finch (52* with 4 fours and 3 sixes) and David Warner (48* with 4 fours and 2 sixes) demolished the rookie Pakistan bowling lineup containing Muhammad Musa and Mohammad Hasnain, along with Mohammad Amir. Both the openers hammered the bowlers all around the Perth stadium and raced off to a 10-wicket win in 11.5 overs and pocketed the series 2-0.

Sean Abbott was named Player of the Match and Steve Smith bagged Player of the Series.
