West Indies and Afghanistan locked horns for the first ODI at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The way Afghanistan has improved their game in the last few years, they have won the faith of the fans. The local crowd have started to travel wherever Afghanistan plays to watch their game.
Sher Khan is among the passionated cricket fans from Afghanistan. He has visited India to watch his country play, but it turned out to be a bitter experience for him. Not only because Afghanistan lost the first ODI, but Khan also found it challenging to get accommodation because of his height.
The 8-feet two-inch tall Sher Khan had to struggle to get a hotel. Even after finding accommodation, he had to face a problem because of the crowd. He was mobbed outside his hotel and police had to help the tourist out.
Khan approached police for help which took him to a Hotel Rajdhani in Naka area where he spent Tuesday night. The lanky guy from Kabul was later escorted to the stadium for the match.
"As many as 200 people have come to see him. He is very disturbed," hotel owner Ranu told ANI on Wednesday. Ranu said the man would be staying in the city for the next four to five days.
