New Zealand put loss in the first T20I in Christchurch behind and came back with a quality all-round performance in the second game of the ongoing five-match series against England clinching a 21-run win on Sunday (November 3) in Wellington.

Batting first, the Kiwis posted a total of 176/8 with opener Martin Guptill (41) leading the way before James Neesham (42) blasted the three lions' bowling attack to all parts of the ground at the end.

Chris Jordan (3/23) and Sam Curran (2/22) did bowl economical spells but the rest failed miserably as the hosts got a score with which they could pile on the pressure on visitors.

And as it turned out, England lost floury of wickets either side of a decent third-wicket stand between Dawid Malan (39) and captain Eoin Morgan (32) in the run-chase.

It was always an uphill task to keep up with the asking rate from there as Tim Southee (2/25) and Mitchell Santner (3/25) further made it tougher to get the ball off the square. England eventually crumbled to 155 all out and didn't even bat the full quota of 20 overs.

The third T20I will be played in Nelson on November 5.

Brief scores:

New Zealand 176/8 in 20 overs (James Neesham 42; Chris Jordan 3/23) won against England 155/10 in 19.5 overs (Dawid Malan 39; Mitchell Santner 3/25) by 21 runs
