A lot happened in Bangladesh cricket for last few days. More than 50 players went on strike, they made Bangladesh cricket board agree to their demands, and when everything looked settled down, Shakib Al Hasan got banned.

The Bangladesh Test and T20I captain Shakib was handed a two-year ban by the ICC for failing to report match-fixing approaches by an Indian bookie on numerous times. This is in effect from October 29 and Shakib can return to international cricket only from October 29, 2020. He will be missing the Indian Premier League and T20 World Cup next year.

Mashrafe Mortaza, Mushfiqur Rahim, and even Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have come into Shakib's support.

Mortaza, who has played alongside Shakib for a long time, praised the all-rounder and posted a heartfelt message. "After fighting together for 13 years, I will be sleepless for a few nights for sure after our warrior's suspension. But after a few days, I will be able to sleep well, thinking that under his leadership itself, we will play the 2023 World Cup final. Because the name is Shakib Al Hasan," he wrote.

অনেকেই প্রশ্ন করছেন যে, দেশের ক্রিকেটের এমন একটি দিনে আমি কেন উপস্থি...

Rahim was emotional too, as seen with his post. He wrote, "Age level.. international… over 18 years of playing cricket together… very sad to even think about playing without you on the field. Hoping that you come back soon like a champ. You always have my support and the whole of Bangladesh. Stay strong In Sha Allah".
